ANNABEL
art direction, editorial design
mode spring '19 collection editorial lookbook is a fourteen-page spread crafted to highlight the newest collection.
this is an editorial lookbook showcasing a high-fashion french brand’s mode spring ‘19 collection. the collection is inspired by edgar allan poe’s last complete poem, annabel lee, which tells the story of a beautiful woman that poe has loved since childhood."
the hair is simple and varies between styles of teased and sleek.
few models will have bobby pins as hair accessories for aesthetic purposes and an interest factor. makeup should have a natural feel and light contour to define each model’s face.
contemporary minimalism is the look for the editorial. powerful yet sensual with a hint of undone ease and oversized silhouettes.
locations relate to the environments and imagery told throughout the poem
(i.e kingdom by the sea) tybee Iisland, georgia was the decided location.
the photo art direction was inspired by poses, lighting, detail-shots, and ambiance. crisp clean lighting, with slight contract, no fade. shots showing the environment with great focus on showcasing the model wearing mode spring ‘19 collection– with the model symbolizing ‘annabel’
